Comments from professionals on the "Happy Babies" book

Happy Babies is a welcome addition to the very small number of books that exists on play for babies. It emphasises extremely well the importance of play right from earliest times, and positively reinforces our knowledge that babies can be actively involved in learning through play.
Dr Gwilym Hosking MD FRCP FRCPCH FFPM, Consultant Child Neurologist, Portland Neurocare, London

The author of this work has shown an astonishing insight into where learning begins.

We find that if only we can get into homes when a baby is very young and teach the mothers how to play with their new babies the difference is dramatic. Why is there so little help for mothers who are estranged from their families?
Spokesman for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children

"Happy Babies" is a short, easy-to-understand book devoted to that most important part of a baby's life - the neonatal period - those first days and weeks when parents can do much to encourage the development of early learning pathways, helping the growth of an infant's intellectual and sensory systems.

Happy Babies is a valuable tool for all parents - a "how to" and "when to" guide about stimulating the development of a healthy infant to it's full potential".
Dr. Dorothy L. Staples, Paediatrician
